We all love good affordable makeup that works amazingly on our skin. Who doesn’t? We see that you really liked our Budget Beauty article last month that’s why, we decided to bring back another round this month and bring up some amazing discoveries on our local drugstore makeup section(aka Watsons). Check out my recommendations of beauty finds under Php300 for every Filipinas out there:
Ever Bilena LTD Liquid Lipstick
For Php 220 only, this liquid lipstick is at par with Colourpop’s liquid lipsticks in terms of quality. They have a lot of shades to choose from and I personally like Soft Cinammon. In the tube, it looks like a berry pink shade but when applied, it comes out with a strong red undertone. It is not as drying as the Colourpop formula but this one sits comfortably on the lips. I have uber dry lips and this is something that I enjoy wearing. Did I also mention that this has a pleasant bubble gum scent? You should try it!
Nichido Pressed Powder
I can’t believe that a powder this good is just for Php 95. First of all, I find the packaging very pretty and it even comes with a puff and mirror. Like, how much are we paying for the powder, really? Besides that, this powder is a good on-the-go retouch powder if you want to touch up on areas whenever you get shiny throughout the day. If your foundation is lacking in coverage, you can use this powder to set your makeup and add a tiny bit of coverage. There are a lot of shades to choose from depending on your skin tone. This powder is worth a try.
Nichido Contour & Highlight
Planning on splurging on a KKW Crème Contour and Highlight Kit? Save your money and buy the Nichido Contour & Highlight Stick instead! For Php 288, you will get a contouring stick and highlighting stick on the other end. It has a very creamy formula and is very easy to blend using a stippling brush or a beauty sponge. I did not have any issues blending it but I would highly recommend using it sparingly. The stick is very pigmented so you need to be very gentle with your application. It also comes in different shades such as Medium and Deep. Such a good buy!
Shawill Contour Powder
It’s hard to find a good bronzing powder in the drugstore that will suit every Filipina’s skin tone. When I found this powder, I was shook! This powder comes in three different shades which you can choose from depending on how deep you want your contouring powder to be. This is very pigmented and one swipe is all you need to get full opacity. I recommend using a light hand application with this product as it does have a tendency to get muddy. The downside is that it has a lot of fallout and it can be very messy so I suggest to be very careful when applying this powder. It comes with a puff(which is useless actually)and a sleek black compact with a mirror which comes in very handy.Other than that, I would say that this is really worth checking out!
